Appreciate your MOM
Your mom carried u in her womb
for 9 months.
She felt sick 4 months with nausea,
She watched her feet swell & her skin stretch & tear,
She struggled 2 climb stairs, she got breathless quick,
She suffered many sleepless nights,
She then went through excruciating pain 2 bring u into this world.
Then, she became ur nurse, ur chef, ur maid, ur chauffeur, ur biggest fan, ur teacher, & ur best friend.
She's struggled 4 u, cried over u, hoped d best 4 u, & prayed 4 u.
Most of us take our mom 4 granted.
But there are people who
have lost or never even seen theirs...
Appreciate her...
If u r reading this, its my request to say ur mom how special she is for u.....

“Why We Shout In Anger” ~ A short story on Relationships
We Shout In Anger” ~ A short story on Relationships
A Hindu saint who was visiting river Ganges to take bath found a group
of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He
turned to his disciples smiled ‘n asked. ‘Why do people shout in anger
shout at each other?’
Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, ‘Because we lose our
calm, we shout.’ ‘But, why should you shout when the other person is
just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a
soft manner.’ asked the saint.
Finally the saint explained, . ‘When two people are angry at each other,
their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to
be able to hear each other.
The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance.
What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each
other but talk softly, Because their hearts are very close. The distance
between them is either nonexistent or very small…’ The saint continued,
‘When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak,
only whisper ‘n they get even closer to each other in their love.
Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other ‘n
that’s all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.’
He looked at his disciples ‘n said. ‘So when you argue do not let your
hearts get distant, Do not say words that distance each other more, Or
else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will
not find the path to return.’

This about Mr. Zavere Poonawala who is a well-known Parsee industrialist
in Pune, India. He had this driver named Ganga Datt with him for the
last 30 years on his limousine, which was originally owned by Acharya
Rajneesh.
.
Ganga Datt passed away recently and at that time Mr. Poonawala was in
Mumbai for some important work. As soon as he heard the news, he
canceled all his meetings, requested the driver’s family to await him
for the cremation and came back to Pune immediately by a helicopter.
.
On reaching Pune, he asked the limo to be decorated with flowers as he
wished Ganga Datt should be taken in the same car which he himself had
driven since the beginning. When Ganga Datt’s family agreed to his
wishes, he himself drove Ganga Datt from his home up to the ghat on his
last journey.
.
When asked about it, Mr. Poonawala replied that Ganga Datt had served
him day and night, and he could at least do this being eternally
grateful to him. He further added that Ganga Datt rose up from poverty
and educated both his children very well. His daughter is a Chartered
accountant and that is so commendable.
.
His comment in the end, is the essence of a successful life in all aspects:
“Everybody earns money which is nothing unusual in that, but we should
always be grateful to those people who contribute to our success. This
is the belief, we have been brought up with, which made me do, what I
did”.
An inspiring example of humility…….

The story of an exemplary science leader
The
story of an exemplary science leader...
Today,
I thought of sharing with you an incident about Sir CV Raman –a Nobel Laureate
in Physics for discovering Raman Effect. Raman was in the first batch of Bharat
Ratna Award winners. The award ceremony was to take place in the last week of
January, soon after the Republic Day celebrations of 1954. The then President
Dr. Rajendra Prasad wrote to Raman inviting him to be the personal guest in the
Rashtrapati Bhavan, when Raman came to Delhi for the award ceremony. Sir CV
Raman wrote a polite letter, regretting his inability to go. Raman had a noble
reason for his inability to attend the investiture ceremony. He explained to
the President that he was guiding a Ph.D. student and that thesis was
positively due by the last day of January. The student was valiantly trying to
wrap it all up and Raman felt, he had to be by the side of the research
student, see that the thesis was finished, sign the thesis as the guide and
then have it submitted. Here was a scientist who gave up the pomp of a
glittering ceremony associated with the highest honour, because he felt that
his duty required him to be by the side of the student. It is this unique trait
of giving value to science that builds science. This is one experience, how
leadership can be given for the growth of science.
